Bubblecast Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Bubblecast is a private Mac app made by Aaron Leander Martin (SoftAcroAaron) to record his own screen and camera and upload those recordings to his own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public.

What it accesses: When Bubblecast is connected to YouTube, it uses Google sign-in (OAuth) to get permission to manage the connected YouTube account. It uses this permission only to upload the videos you record, set them to Unlisted, and set their title and description.

What it stores: The Google sign-in token is stored only on your own Mac, in a file only your user account can read. Recordings are saved on your Mac and deleted after a successful upload unless you choose to keep them. Transcripts, titles and summaries are created on your Mac with Apple's built-in on-device tools.

What it shares: Bubblecast sends your recordings and their titles and descriptions only to YouTube (Google). It has no servers of its own, collects no analytics, and never sells or shares data with anyone else.

Google API data: Bubblecast's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access: You can remove Bubblecast's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions and delete the app from your Mac.
